... I got updated software and firmware from this Link. I downloaded selecting Gen2V and the third file (hybrid). I used exFAT format in the USB and engine on. It took less than 10 minutes....

thanks for sharing the information. When I visit the Hyundai site, I cannot see the BC3 download file - I need the file for 8'' Audio. Can I use any other file or do I need to check another link? I'm desperately looking for the patch, since no dealer is capable of fixing the issue at all, nor they understand what actually needs to be done

I downloaded the update of the 28th of December 2021 in the Kia web site and there were only 3 links of 3 Updates. Now there is another new update version with much more links for more vehicle version. I downloaded the SORENTO hybrid update and it worked fine for my BC3 i20 48V. I’m going to update again with this new version, but you have to do it at your own risk.
I only can repeat the same. In Hyundai official site with the official program you download the wrong update by mistake because they don’t alert you that BC3 update is only for maps update of screens with navigators.
I’m quite sure this update will work again, and if not, the system must alert you and don’t let it do it as it happens when you try with the wrong BC3 update for maps of 10” that you get it from Hyundai.
I’m going now to download and try to update with SONATA link for Gen2V because I know this model has the same display.
I have downloaded all the updates and all the links donwload exactly the same file with the same CRC32 check number.

Updated and works fine with Tomtom and CarPlay.
They have solved the problem of radio and media starts on and you can select in the setup “off” after engine on.
They have improved connectivity of wireless CarPlay and Android Auto.
The update file includes all platforms for all or most of vehicles.

it took about 18min with usb in fat32 and engine on. Checked with sygic and wireless android auto: everything ok and more stable.
I noticed the addition of the greek language and the miss of the scan button in radio ( i find the function at menu-scan)
Der Kater hat recht. Bei Navi gibt’s gar kein Wireless und am D-Audio (Radio) muss man richtig bestellen, da gibt es beide Varianten.
Im Engineer-Modus des Radios kann man eine Einstellung wählen, die aus Wireless-CarPlay WIRED-CarPlay macht. Man muss das iPhone also immer mit der USB-Buchse verbinden.
Wie es funktioniert erzählt dieser nette Australier; die unterschiedlichen "CPU-Config" ausprobieren.
Hier wurde jetzt eine Anleitung veröffentlicht. Das Update bringt eine verbesserte Konnektivität von Wireless CarPlay und Android Auto.

Ich bin gerade etwas verwirrt. Unser i20 kann CarPlay nur über Kabel (i20 Bj 2020 mit Navi und großem Display)
Habe heute meinen i30 Fastback abgeholt und bei der Übergabe kamen wir auch aufs CarPlay. Der freundlich Verkäufer meinte, dass der i20 das eigentlich kabellos machen müsste, der i30 nur mit Kabel.
Nun wieder zu meinem ersten Satz. Unser i20 kann nur mit Kabel. Gab es ein Update oder liegt das am Alter.
Könnte mir da jemand nen Tip geben?
Das hat mit dem großen Radio mit Navi zu tun, das kann nur CarPlay und Android Auto über Kabel. Ist bei meinem 2022 auch so. Das kleine Radio ohne Navi kann das wohl Wireless.

bin neu hier und habe auch Verbindungsabbrüche bei Wireless Carplay in meinem i20 N-Line.
Der Händler hat beim letzten Service kein Update durchgeführt und nun will ich das selber machen, aber leider ist auf der Hyundai und KIA Seite kein Update File mehr vorhanden, da anscheinend schon wieder ein neues Update vorbereitet wird.
Hat ggf. noch jemand das File von April 2022 und könnte es via Dropbox o.ä. bereitstellen?
Wäre auf der Suche nach folgender SW-Version BC3.EUR.DV2.003.100.220331
(im Netz finde ich leider keine Files und reddit und co traue ich nicht ob SW ggf. modifiziert).
Da Du ein Radio hast, wirst Du kein Update auf der Hyundai Seite finden. Es gibt ein S/W patch gegen die Abbrüche, dass muss der Händler aber bei Hyundai Deutschland / Technik anfragen.
Es gibt bzw. gab ein Update auf der Hyundai Seite für Fahrzeuge ohne NAVI (also reines Media Update) aber das Update wurde aktuell entfernt und lt. div. Meldungen hier im Forum haben einige das Update vom Frühjahr von der Hyundai Seite heruntergeladen installiert und das hat geholfen?!
Ich vermute, Du verwechselst hier etwas. Es gab unlängst auf dem Downloader ein Update ohne Map-Daten, sondern nur Systemupdate. Aber das war ebenfalls für die Navigeräte vorbehalten. Noch einmal, für Radio gibt es keine Updates auf dem europäischen Downloader.
Solltest Du ein Update im Netz finden, wäre ich vorsichtig, denn Mobis überprüft den jeweiligen S/W Stand, bevor sie das Patch aufspielen. Dann wäre Dein Radio im Gewährleistungsprozess "verbrannt".
Bevor es wieder losgeht und die Beschwerden kommen, dass Android Auto wieder ausfällt, abbricht oder ähnliches, bitte mal das Smart Phone überprüfen. Android hat wieder mal ein Update gemacht, das im Auto die genannten Probleme bereitet. Wenn also jemand die Android Version 7.8.x hat, kann es wieder zu Problemen kommen. Das betrifft nicht alle Smart Phones, aber doch schon viele und es gilt für Kabel und Wireless.
Das betrifft nicht nur Hyundai Kia, sondern auch andere Automarken. An einem Update wird gearbeitet, es ist aber noch nicht verfügbar.

Ich lebe in Russland und besitze einen Kia Rio mit drahtloser Apple CarPlay-Unterstützung. Seit ich das Auto gekauft habe, habe ich ein Problem mit einem Fehler, der auf dem Radiobildschirm auftaucht, wenn ich drahtloses CarPlay verwende. Ich habe viele Möglichkeiten ausprobiert, um dieses Problem zu lösen, und mich sogar an den offiziellen Händler gewandt, bei dem ich das Auto gekauft habe. Leider hat mir der Händler nicht geholfen.
Dann bin ich auf Ihr Forum gestoßen, und zwar auf dieses Thema und Ihre Beiträge haben mir sehr geholfen! Ich bin dir sehr dankbar!
Ich habe das Problem mit CarPlay lösen können, indem ich das Autoradio selbst aktualisiert habe, indem ich das Update von der offiziellen KIA-Website heruntergeladen und die Region USA oder Kanada ausgewählt habe.
