Santamo reliability?

    Hi
    I just went to a HYUNDAI "specialist", big-name in my city.He was working as a head-mechanic in HYUNDAI service, and after many years he opened his own garage.
    Eventhough i see my car in perfect condition, he is 100% sure, that Santamo is the worst HYUNDAI, and cause it's 90% mitsubishi, everything is wrong.


    Also that Mitsu, eventhough it's japan made, is very bad in quality.


    I was astonished, cause i can't believe this guy!


    He tells many problems with motor and auto-gearbox, and suggest me not to press too much the gas pedal.


    When i requested 1 lt of DIAMOND ATF SP, he had nothing, and suggested DEXRON II - IID -III, it's the same he tells.


    I believe i should only use specific ATF, not another, or maybe HYUNDAI ATF.


    Anyone problem with this motor and transmission?

    ;)I told you that it is a Mitsubishi. But i think that is not a problem.I got this original Space Wagon built in 92 with automatic Gearbox and i drove it for about 200000 km by my own. Without any problems with engine or gear. I sold this car with 280 000km with no technical problems only rust ok breaks are nearly destoyd but these are never changed!
    I think if you ask an Mitsubishi mechanic he will tell you the same shit about Hyundai. X(
    Now i have this Santamo and i have some problems with the Motor but the bigest problem was, that Hyundai was not able to repair it. Only Mitsubishi! If you need spareparts go to Mitsubishi and it will work. I think Hyundai is a daughter company of Mitsubishi but i don't know it very well. :watt:
