05/1998 Santamo G4CP-Doch timing belt changing intervals?

  • Hi,

My car has now 126.000km, i have service stamps till 90.000km, maybe that was the time when the previous owner payed A LOT of MONEY for changing the 2 timing belts, one for the timing, and 1 for the counterweight anti-vibrating axle.

I have autodata 2007, and vivd workshop and still i am not sure what are the changing intervals?

    60000 km or 90000 km?

If someone works to the German HYUNDAI and has answer, or when you go for a service, when did they changed to your santamo the timing belt.

Please mark that the motors , for example trajet and all with the HYUNDAI stamp on the timing belt upper cover, ALL of them are 90000 km intervals.

  • Are you sure for 60000km?

    Did HYUNDAI service says that?

    Don't under-estimate or over-estimate km intervals.

Many-times mechanics say many-many km earlier for having job, i think.

  • I read and translated your check list.
    Auxiliary work all 60000 km
    • Wedge/flat straps for all Nebenaggregate replace (only Fzg. also
4-Zyl. - engines as well as Fzg. with 6 cylinder engines to inclusively. MJ 98,
    not Fzg. with CRDi engine)
    • Fuel filters replace
    • Toothed belts replace, belts for balance waves examine
(only Fzg. starting from MJ 93 to inclusively. MJ 96),
    • Toothed belts examine (only Fzg. starting from MJ 97, not Fzg. with CRDi engine)

    Auxiliary work all 90000 km
    • Toothed belts replace (only Fzg. starting from MJ 97, not Fzg with CRDi engine),

our cars are 1999 models. so they fit to late MJ 97 service intervals which i think that i read exactly 90000km.

if i am wrong explain please.

    Thanks

  • Auxiliary work all 60000 km

and yes, the service interval for your car is the 1997 list

  • :DI change the time belt every 90000km that`s what is written in the list for 99`s Santamo :freu:

  • mozartschwarz this is what i wanted to hear.

    every 90000 km.

anyone changed on Santamo every 60000? i don't think so.

so i won't have to agree with greek rediculus mechanics that press me to change it!

anyway to just check if in good condition?

also if anyone has seen a service manual, even like haynes, to download or pay for it.

  • I think this is a good idea, look and if it is bad, change! :freu:
